Punta Beach, Croatia
Beach character
The beach's defining characteristic is its pebble composition, with medium-sized stones covering most of the shoreline. This surface is explicitly noted in the beach's authoritative features as potentially unsuitable for certain groups. The seabed extends gradually into the sea, with a moderate depth increase. The surrounding landscape consists of mountainous terrain, creating a dramatic backdrop against the Adriatic waters. This geological profile is consistent with the broader coastal geography of Brac Island, where limestone formations and rugged coastlines are prevalent.Swimming and shore
Swimming at Punta Beach requires caution due to the pebble-strewn shoreline. Multiple visitor reviews explicitly mention the need for swimming shoes, with one describing the experience as 'very clear water' but 'pebbles that will hurt your feet.' The seabed's pebble coverage is described as continuous, though the depth increases moderately as one moves away from shore. The beach's straight shoreline orientation offers unobstructed views of the open sea, contrasting with the more sheltered coves found in other parts of the region.Facilities and activities
The beach lacks formal amenities but supports several water-based activities. Kayaking, surfing, snorkeling, and parasailing are explicitly listed as available options. These activities align with the beach's open-water conditions and the broader nautical character of the Brac coastline. No permanent structures, lifeguard services, or shade facilities are mentioned in the beach's authoritative features, though visitor reviews note the presence of 'shady spots' likely provided by natural vegetation.Access and location
Punta Beach is located near the town of Supetar on Brac Island, a popular sailing destination in the Adriatic. The beach's coordinates (43.19355, 17.13875) place it within reach of several marinas and anchorages in the region. Supetar itself is a well-established yacht charter hub, with the Supetar Marina serving as a primary base for boats exploring the northern Dalmatian coast. The beach's proximity to this settlement makes it a convenient stop for sailors and charter guests seeking a natural shoreline experience. What visitors say
Visitors consistently highlight the beach's natural beauty and clear waters, with one reviewer describing it as 'a very beautiful beach' with 'very clear water.' Multiple reports note the presence of shade from trees, though all reviews emphasize the need for swimming shoes due to the pebble-strewn shoreline. One visitor described spending 'half the day there completely alone,' indicating periods of solitude despite the beach's 'busy' high-season designation. A family visitor noted the beach's suitability for families but warned of overcrowding during peak months.
Practical tips
Bring sturdy swimming shoes to navigate the pebble-covered shoreline. Expect a mix of solitude and crowds depending on the season. The beach's natural shade from trees provides limited relief from sun exposure. No formal amenities are available, so plan accordingly for basic needs.

Reviews
A very beautiful beach. I spent half the day there completely alone and was able to enjoy the sea and the peace and quiet. I went back for sunset, which was truly romantic. A wonderful little cove with very clear water. Swimming shoes are recommended! There are also shady spots.
Beautiful pebble beach with clear water and trees that give much needed shade (^_^) Do not forget to bring swimming shoes: the pebbles will hurt your feet!
Great beach for family but in the central season a bit overcrowded.
