Plaza Zabodarski Beach, Croatia
Beach character
This 140-meter-long beach features a unique combination of white sand and pebbles, with the predominant surface being white sand interspersed with pebbles. The beach is naturally shaded, providing relief from direct sunlight. The seabed is covered with standard-grain sand, and the depth increases smoothly, making it a safe option for children and less confident swimmers. The beach's cove formation contributes to its sheltered character, though visitor reports note that it can become crowded during peak season.Swimming and shore
The beach's smooth depth gradient ensures gradual water depth increase, suitable for families with young children. The sea floor's sandy composition facilitates easy movement for swimmers. Activities such as diving, stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), surfing, and snorkeling are available, leveraging the beach's coastal position. However, the absence of structured amenities means visitors must rely on nearby facilities for basic needs.Facilities and activities
Plaza Zabodarski lacks direct beach amenities such as showers, restrooms, or umbrellas. However, nearby villas and pine forests offer a scenic backdrop. The beach is recommended for families with dogs, though visitors should follow designated area signs. Activities include water sports like diving and snorkeling, with the beach's natural features supporting these pursuits. The lack of facilities necessitates planning for essentials like food, water, and waste disposal.Access and location
Access to Plaza Zabodarski requires navigating an unpaved road, which some visitors note is best approached with an SUV. A short walk of 2-3 minutes from the road leads to the beach. The beach is located in Cunski, a settlement on Losinj Island, part of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar region. Its proximity to pine forests and villas adds to the area's appeal, though the remote access may deter some visitors. What visitors say
Reviewers describe Plaza Zabodarski as a "hidden gem" with "crystal clear sea" and "beautiful villas in a pine forest." However, experiences vary: one visitor noted the beach was "almost ours" during a July visit, while others highlighted its "dirty" state and challenging access. A 2023 reviewer praised its seclusion, while a 2020 visitor mentioned litter. The beach's character as a "busy" spot in high season contrasts with its tranquil reputation during off-peak times.Practical tips
Consider the unpaved road access when planning your visit, and bring a vehicle with sufficient clearance. Due to reported cleanliness issues, pack waste bags and dispose of trash responsibly. The beach's smooth depth gradient makes it family-friendly, but supervise children near the water's edge. Arrive early to avoid crowds during peak season.Exploring the coast by yacht

Reviews
Nice secluded beach 🏝️ almost has it to ourselves.
One of the most beautiful beaches of the Losinj Island. No facilities though and not that easy to reach (car (SUV only?) + walking 2-3 min). There are few beautiful villas just above the beach, in a pine forest. It is very clean and the sea is crystal clear. Recommended! milos savic
