Approach
The town of Vodice is easily recognised by a large multi-storey hotel on the wooded promontory to the SW of the town, and its distinctive white stone war memorial near the harbour. The marina lies to the NE of the harbour. In the immediate approach beware of PliCina Vodice, a rocky shoal, marked by A light, Fl.R.5s7m3M, is exhibited from the end of the old harbour wall. It is obscured over the shoal (309°-vis-256°). The marina entrance is not lit.
Berth
If you wish to go into the marina tie up bow/sternto one of the pontoons as directed. Note that there are a number of concrete blocks on the seabed, which might cause a problem to deep draught vessels. It is possible to go into the harbour, although space here is limited. Tie up bow/stern-to the SE pier as illustrated in the plan using the pick-up line provided. Harbour dues are charged. Anchor Anchor S of the marina and E of the beacon in 5 m, sand.
Shelter
All-round shelter is available in the marina, although both the bora and sirocco are strong in this area.

Facilities
Facilities at the marina include water and electricity to all berths, toilets, showers, laundry, sailboard hire, a 10-ton crane, 40-ton travel-lift and a slipway, workshops. There is also a shopping complex with supermarket, bank, Post Office, restaurants and bars. The marina is open throughout the year. Fuel and water are available from a fuel berth located near the root of the E marina breakwater. The fuel berth, accessed from outside the marina, has 3.3m alongside, and is open between 0800 and 2000. The water tap is coin operated. Water and electricity are available at the visitors' berths in Vodice harbour. There is an INA-Plin depot where gas bottles can be refilled in the town. The town has several supermarkets, a butcher and a fruit and vegetable market, which is even open on Sunday mornings during the summer. Banks, ATMs, Post Office, telephones and internet cafe near the harbour. Medical centre and pharmacy. Tourist information, hotels, cafe/bars and restaurants. Bus service, car hire and taxis. Ferries to Sepurine, Prvic Luka, Zlarin and Sibenik. History
The area around Vodice has been inhabited for thousands of years, but the town really started to develop in the 16th century. In about 1570 there was a large influx of refugees from areas, which had been invaded by the Turks. In the 17th century the town was enclosed by a defensive wall and fortified towers were built.
