42°56".6N 16°40'-4E Charts BA 2772, SC 5767, MK 27, lmray M26 Uvala Poplar is on the S shore of Zaljev Vela Luka, the wide bay on the W end of Otok Koreula. Uvala Poplar is open to NW and W, and there will be some days in summer when the afternoon breeze from NW will mean that it is not the best place to spend the day swimming and sunbathing. The bay has a few stone cottages, which have been converted into holiday homes, and abandoned terraces. It is quiet. The bay is nearly 2M northeast of Rt Velo Dance and nearly 3M from the harbour of Vela Luka. There are no dangers in the approach. The bay is divided into two sections. Anchor in the NE part of the bay in 6m. The bottom is and and weed. Alternatively anchor and take a line ashore. The bay is sheltered from N through E to S. There are no facilities ashore. Vela Luka
