Uvala Opat

43°44"3N 15°27"4E Charts BA 277 7, SC 5767, MK 74, 15, lmray M25 Uvala Opat is the most S of the bays on Otok Komar. It can be recognised by the shrine and the notice board on the headland to the SE. Approaching Uvala Opat, note that there are two isolated shallow patches SW of the inlet, with depths of 2.1m and 2.7m over them. The nearer shoal extends 3 cables S of the headland on the W side of the entrance. The other shoal lies nearly 3 cables N of the N tip of 0. Skulj. Uvala Opat has depths of 15m towards its head. Anchor and take lines ashore to the bollards. The bottom here is sand. The two restaurants in the bay have quays with pick up lines for their customers. The bay is sheltered in a bora, but is exposed to the sirocco. Good shelter from SW through N to E. Ashore there are a few houses, two restaurants, and a rubbish disposal point.
