44°02'.8N 15°13'.1E Charts BA 2711, 515, SC 5767, MK 13, lmray M25 Uvala Lamjana Mala is the more easterly of two long inlets, which cut deep into the SW coast of Otok Ugljan. There is a well-sheltered anchorage towards the head of the bay. Uvala Lamjana Mala lies approximately 2M northwest of 0. Karantunic on which there is a light. There are two other islands, 0. Skolj Veli and 0. Bisage, in the approach which help to locate the bay. Note that there is an isolated shoal patch approximately 3 cables E of 0. Skolj V. which has 4.2m over it, and an above-water rock 2 cables off the SE entrance point. Within the bay, there is a shellfish farm with floating nets on the W side of the inlet. Beyond the shellfish farm, stretching in a line across the bay, are six metal mooring buoys for the use of fishing boats. These buoys are in depths of 10 to 12m. Anchor beyond these buoys in Sm. The bottom is sand with patches of weed and the holding is good. Ensure that the anchor has dug in. Vessels over 16m in length and with engines of over 80hp are not allowed to navigate within the bay during the hours of darkness. The pier and small village of Muline on Otok Ugljan islands of Rivanj and Sestrunj to the NW and W, and the small island of Jidula lying off the N entrance, help give all-round shelter to this anchorage. The approach and entry to this passage or anchorage are straightforward with no hidden dangers. Note, however, that the tide sets between the islands, creating a strong current. The narrow channel between 0. Ugljan and 0. Rivanj, N of Muline, is marked by unlit red and green pillars.
