The small island NW of the entrance helps identify the inlet. If approaching from W keep clear of the dangerous rock and area of shallows N of the entrance to Uvala Parja. The anchorage at Uvala Duga is comparatively deep, and it is wise to anchor and take a line ashore. The bottom is weed over sand. The anchorage is sheltered from N through E to SW.
