43°45'.3N 15°45'E Charts BA 2774, 271 1, 2773 (detailed), SC 5767, MK 7 5, lmray M25 Tribunj is an attractive little village, which was built on an island in the 16th century by refugees from the mainland fleeing from the Turks. The village was once surrounded by defensive walls, but these have been demolished. Today the village is connected to the mainland by a narrow single-span bridge, built Above The entrance to Tribunj marina of stone. The traditional occupation of the villagers is fishing, but increasingly tourism is becoming important. A marina has been built in the bay to the E and S of the old village. The marina is open throughout the year.

Approach

The safest approach is from SE since there are no dangers apart . from limited depths close to the mainland shore. Approaching from W the depths in the passages between the islands are limited to 2m and 3m (see plan). A dangerous rock is located in the channel to the N of 0. Lukovnik. There is also a rock and shoal area in the bay to the W and NW of Tribunj. The exact location can be seen on the chart. The chapel up on the hill behind the village helps identify Tribunj.

Berth

Tie up bow/stern-to the quay on the W side of Tribunj, or alongside if space and depths permit. Alternatively berth at the marina. The visitors' berth is exposed to the afternoon breeze and to swell from passing vessels. Anchor Anchor to the W of the village in depths of 6m or 3m.

Shelter

Shelter at the quay is limited, but all-round shelter is available at the marina. Southerly winds create a swell.

Facilities

A grocery shop, bank, Post Office, telephone, cafe/bar and a medical centre. Facilities at the marina include water, electricity, toilets, showers, laundry, workshop, 80-ton travel-lift, slipway, nearby supermarket, restaurant and cafe.
