45°37'-6N 12°59'E Charts BA 204 To the W of Bibione Pineta there is a small marina, mainly patronised by motorboat owners. This marina can however be a useful port of call and can accommodate vessels of up to 20m in length.

Approach

The entrance to Porto Baseleghe lies 4. 7M west of Punta Tagliamento lighthouse. The entrance can be difficult to locate from seaward since there are few distinguishing features. A campsite located on the E headland may assist identification. The channel is marked on both sides by R and W wooden posts. White leading marks situated on the shore W of the river mouth define the approach from seaward into the marked channel. Keep to the centre of the channel and approach with care in case silting has reduced depths. Once inside the river continue to keep in the middle of the channel. In the summer Fl.R.3s and Fl.G.3s lights are located at the entrance, but there are otherwise no navigational lights. The marina can be contacted on VHF Ch 09.

Shelter

Inside the marina the berths are well sheltered from the sea. Strong W winds and the bora however make the berths uncomfortable.

Facilities

Water and electricity to all berths. Toilets and showers. Launderette and swimming pool. Petrol and diesel from the fuel berth. 20-ton crane. Mechanical workshop (agency for Volvo Penta, Mercury, Mercruiser and Honda). Repairs to hull and to electrical and electronic equipment are possible. In the vicinity of the marina there are supermarkets and other shops, Post Office, banks, first-aid post, pharmacies, hotels, restaurants, bars, campsite, taxis, car hire and a bus service.
