Otok llovik and Otok Sv. Petar

44°27'-7N 14°33'.3E Charts BA 202, MK 8, lmray M24 To the south of Otok Losinj lie the islands of Otok Ilovik and Otok Sv. Petar. There is a sheltered anchorage in Luka Ilovik, the narrow channel which separates the two small islands from each other.
Approach
There are no dangers in the approach to the SE entrance to Luka Ilovik. Approaching from NW take care to keep clear of the headlands on both islands, since shoals extend some distance offshore from them. The channel is narrow from the NW entrance until past the village of Ilovik. The minimum depth in the channel is 5.8m. Beware of strong currents which can sometimes make themselves felt in the channel. If wind and current are opposed short high seas can result.

Berth
Secure to the pier at the village on 0. Ilovik, using the lines provided. There are depths of 3m alongside, and 3.5m at the outer end of the pier. The N side of the pier is used by the ferry. Anchor Visitors' mooring buoys have been laid along the edges of the channel. Secure to one of these. Alternatively, anchor SE of the village of Ilovik, clear of the channel in depths of 4 to 6m. The holding on a sand bottom is good. It is also possible to anchor closer to the shore of Sv. Petar, and take lines to one of the bollards in the bay to the NW of the 'castle'. This is advisable in a bora. In strong SW winds anchor closer to 0. Ilovik. Harbour dues are collected by a boatman, who will take away rubbish.
Shelter
Good shelter is available from all directions, although a swell penetrates in strong SE winds.
Facilities
Water from the pump near the church. Electricity on the pier. In Ilovik village are an extremely wellstocked general grocery store, Post Office, currency exchange office, telephones, excellent bakers {located on the far SE side of the village) and several restaurants. In the mornings a boatman comes round the anchorage selling fresh bread. Fish is also available from a boatman. A ferry service links 0. Ilovik with Mali Losinj, and the neighbouring islands. OTOK SUSAK Charts BA 202, MK 8, lmray M24 Otok Susak is situated approximately 5M west of the south part of Otok Losinj. Compared with other islands in the area Otok Susak looks unusual. The many flat green terraces used for cultivating vines give the island a 'stepped' appearance. On the highest part of the island is a lighthouse, with its lightroom lOOm above sea level. This light is one of the major landfall lights on this part of the Adriatic coast. The village and harbour of Susak are located on the NE side of the island in Uvala Dragoca. Susak Harbour
