General

43°33'.8N 15°56'.5E Charts BA 2774, SC 5767, MK 15, 16, lmray M25 Luka Pele$ is a T-shaped inlet in the mainland 3M northwest of Rogoznica. The N arm has been developed into a marina (Marina Kremik), whilst the S arm is used by a few local boats. Unfortunately yachts are not allowed to stay overnight in this S arm but must proceed to the marina. Ancient vineyards, from which Babi, wine is produced, surround Luka Pele$.

Approach

Luka Pele$ is easily identified by the light structure on Rt Kremik, the headland to the N of the entrance, and by the light beacon on PliCina Pele$. By day the island, Otok Maslinovik, 4 cables NW of Pl. Pele$ is also conspicuous. Approximately 8 cables to seaward of Otok Maslinovik there is a chain of two islets and a rock. The rock, Greben Grbavac, is marked by a lit beacon. A third islet, 0. Barilac, lies 5 cables S of 0. Maslinovik. Take care if approaching at night to avoid these dangers.
