General

Approach
Approaching from S pass to the W of the light buoy moored off Rt Tale. Depths to the E of the buoy are shallow. Approaching from N, note that Hr. Kurjak has a rock off its NW side and is practically joined to Otok Olib by a shallow bank. Hrid Kurjak lies in the obscured sector of the light on the mole at Luka Olib. There are no dangers in the immediate approach to the harbour.

Berth
Tie up bow/stern-to the outer mole (either on the NW or SE side) picking up the lines provided. There are depths of 2-4m here. The outer part of the mole is used by the ferry. Olib is one of the organised anchorages, where a mooring fee and a visitors' tax are collected. Anchor It is possible to anchor off the harbour in depths of Sm, sand. Alternatively, pick up one of the moorings provided, either N or SW of the harbour.
Shelter
The harbour is sheltered from N through E to S. In strong S winds however some swell does enter the harbour. The anchorage is exposed to all winds but the bora.
Facilities
Water and electricity on the pier. The shop near the harbour sells general groceries, fruit and vegetables, meat, and hardware. Bread is sold at the bakery attached to the restaurant Olib Gostionica and the shop near the harbour. Post Office, telephone, currency exchange facilities. Tourist information office. Medical centre. Cafe/bar, internet cafe, and several restaurants. Ferry service (to Rijeka and Zadar). Luka Sv. Nikola
