Drvenik

43°27'N 16°08'.9E Charts BA 2712, 2774, SC 5767, MK 76, lmray M26 The small village of Drvenik lies at the far end of an inlet on the NW coast of Otok Drvenik Veli. The inlet divides into two parts with the harbour at the far E end of the inlet. There are plans to develop the harbour as a marina (referred to as 'Marina Zirona'), but progress has not yet got beyond building a breakwater. A cable comes ashore at the headland between the two parts of the inlet.
Approach
Approaching from W beware of 0. Malta, which lies in the channel between 0. Drvenik Veli and 0. Drvenik Mali. There are otherwise no dangers in the immediate approach to Drvenik harbour. The harbour can be identified from NW by the houses and the church belfry above the village. There is another church on the hill to the W of the village.
