Beach character
The beach consists of multiple coves measuring approximately 30 meters by 10 meters, with a seabed composed of small pebbles. The landscape is defined by panoramic views of mountains and cliffs, creating a dramatic coastal backdrop. Depth increases gradually, making it suitable for confident swimmers. The beach's natural features are preserved without artificial modifications, maintaining its raw, untouched character.
Swimming and shore
The pebble substrate offers a unique swimming experience, though it may require a padded mat or chair for comfort. Water clarity is generally good, though some reviewers noted occasional presence of sea grass. The beach's orientation means direct sunlight exposure after midday, necessitating sun protection measures. Surfing and kayaking are explicitly noted activities, suggesting suitable wave conditions for these pursuits.
Facilities and activities
No formal amenities are listed for Zuljana II Beach. Activities explicitly associated with the beach include kayaking and surfing, though rental availability is not specified. The lack of structured facilities means visitors must bring their own equipment and provisions. The beach's remote character contributes to its appeal for those seeking solitude over convenience.
Access and location

However, the journey to reach it is frequently noted as arduous, involving steep paths and a rope section. Shade is limited to early morning under pine trees, with one reviewer noting the beach becomes 'exposed to the sun' by afternoon. Despite these challenges, the beach's isolation and natural beauty are frequently cited as rewarding experiences.
Practical tips
Bring sun protection, including umbrellas or tents, as shade is limited after midday. Consider the physical demands of the access route, particularly the steep descent. Parking on the main road is available but may require walking to the trailhead. Those with mobility concerns should assess the route's difficulty before visiting.

Reviews
It is the most beautiful pebble beach around Žuljana. You can park your car above on the main road but there is also a nice 1km foot trail in the shade from Žuljana along the coast. The final descent is a little challenge but you can take the path to the left at the top of the rope section and then get back to the beach over the rocks -- if you absolutely hate the rope. There is only a little shade down there so bring an umbrella or a tent. Very well worth it!
Amazing place, but a bit challenging to get there. But worth every effort definitely ☺️ A bit of shadow before afternoon under the pine tree, after that no hide from the sun.
Easy to find and other than the last bit that was a climb down via a rope, it was easy to access. Beach is very beautiful and we had it almost to ourselves. Water was clear but a little sea grass weed. By afternoon the sun is in front of you so there is no shade. You need an umbrella or beach tent. Parking is on the side of the road. Look for the driveway going down and park anywhere near that and walk. If you are on bikes then you can go down the driveway and park closer.
Isolated and idyllic. The beach is made up of small smooth pebbles, so it's luxury to recline on without a padded mat or chair. Getting there: As you drive along the road (away from Zulijana) above the beach keep an eye out for a steep dirt road on your left. Immediately past this are a few spots you can pull over and park. From there, walk down the dirt road, until you see a small goat path leading towards the cliffs. You'll have to pick your way down some relatively steep paths, but if you keep an eye out, the way will be obvious. Not recommended for anyone who has a lower level of fitness, or bad knees.
