This was our favourite beach in Split. A bit far from the city, reachable only by bus 12, with a lot of shadows during the whole day. There is a cafe that offers food (until 5PM) and drinks, sunbeds (20€), changing room and toilets. We visited it at the beginning of July and it was never crowded. Beach access could be tricky, so it would be handy to have water shoes :) Although, there is a small part with sand, which is ok for kids, too.
Beautiful beach, less crowded, a lot of shadow from trees, toilets, bar, we enjoyed our time here. It can be reached only by bus 12, private cars (including Uber) are not allowed here. Bring swimming shoes since corals and stones on the ground.
Lovely cove! Got Bus 12 for €4 return. Paid on bus. Could use card. Bus dropped me off right at the bay. There’s a small cafe from which I rented a sun lounger. €20 a day. Paid card. Seemed steep but the other option was lying on the stone floor and I wanted to spend a good few hours there. There is zero beach here. There’s a changing pod if you don’t want to arrive wearing swimwear already. Lovely warm water. Shallow with a gentle gradient into deeper water. Didn’t need wet shoes. Nice sandy, weedy bottom. Lovely clear water. Lovely sunny day at the start of the season and not too busy.
A slight walk through the pine trees takes you to Kupaliste Bene, our personal favourite beach of the whole trip! With outdoor toilets, a shower and easy access to the sea, we would definitely recommend. With a combination of shade & sun, it’s the perfect beach spot just a 5 minute drive away from Split Old Town. Split-Dalmatia
