Punta Bibinje Beach, Croatia
Beach character
The beach's defining feature is its pebbly shoreline, with the seabed covered in fine pebbles that extend into the water. The depth rises gradually, making it accessible for swimmers while still offering some challenge for more experienced water enthusiasts. The cove's shape provides a sheltered environment, though visitor reviews note that the area can become crowded during peak season. The beach is recommended for all groups, from families to solo travelers, though the lack of sand may affect comfort for some.Swimming and shore
Swimming conditions are generally favorable, with the moderate depth increase allowing for safe entry into the water. The seabed's pebbles create a textured surface beneath the waves, which some visitors describe as a unique but slightly challenging experience. The beach's cove structure offers some natural protection from waves, though larger swells may affect the shore during high tide. Water clarity is noted in reviews as 'crystal clear,' enhancing visibility for snorkeling and other water activities.Facilities and activities
The beach features a bar where visitors can purchase drinks, snacks, and alcoholic beverages. Volleyball courts are available for play, and the area supports water-based activities such as stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) and surfing. However, structured amenities like showers or restrooms are not present, as noted in visitor reports. A restaurant on-site was not operational during some seasons, according to one review, though food availability may vary by time of year.Access and location
Punta Bibinje Beach is accessible via Ulica kraj Punte 12, with nearby parking options including both paid and informal spaces. Visitors report that parking can be found close to the beach, though conditions vary. The beach is approximately 15 kilometers from Zadar, making it a convenient stop for those exploring the city and its surrounding coastline. The area's proximity to the sea and nearby islands supports its appeal to both day-trippers and longer stays. What visitors say
Reviewers highlight the beach's lively atmosphere during peak season, with one describing it as 'packed' and another noting 'lots of people smoking on the beach.' The bar and volleyball courts are frequently mentioned as positives, while the lack of showers and the pebbly terrain are recurring points of discussion. One visitor praised the 'cozy and calm' environment, while another emphasized the need for 'swimming shoes' due to the rocky seabed. The beach's popularity is balanced by its natural character, which some find less polished than other coastal destinations.Practical tips
Bring sturdy footwear for the pebbly shoreline and consider sun protection due to the beach's exposure. Be prepared for crowds during high season, and note that smoking is common in the area. Check with local vendors about food availability, as restaurant operations may vary by season.Exploring the coast by yacht
Punta Bibinje's location along the Zadar coast places it within reach of several marinas and sailing routes in the northern Adriatic. Yacht charter guests exploring this region may find the beach a convenient spot for a stop, though it is not marked as an anchorage or formal marina. The surrounding waters support sailing activities, and nearby ports offer access to both the mainland and islands like Pag and BraΔ.Seasonal Variations
The beach's character shifts with the seasons. Summer brings crowds and lively activity, while off-peak months offer a quieter, more relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant's seasonal closure, noted in reviews, reflects this pattern, with food options limited during certain times of the year.Anchorages in the surrounding area

Reviews
The establishment is highly recommended, and the bar, staffed by exceptionally friendly personnel, is a must-visit. .
A nice and popular beach. Like most beaches around it is covered with crushed stone, also some small round stones in the water. Swimming shoes are recommended. The depth rises quite fast, I find it a plus. Small pine trees make some shade and contrast nicely with the crystal clear blue water. One star off for lack of showers. Also, not a beach minus, but rather a general observation - lots of people smoke right on the beach, and do not bother to throw away cigarette butts.
very beautiful beach! πwe loved this place. very cozy and calm. it is long, there is a lot of space. there is a bar where you can sit and have a drink, a place to play volleyball, they sell pancakes, popcorn, alcohol, coffee and more on the beach. unfortunately the restaurant is not working with food yet, maybe because it is not the season yet
Nearby paid parking and cheaper, also you can park as an uneducated people near to the beach , not so clean the sand but good enough, quiet , since is free except that doesnβt have so much privacy and everyone comes and sitting where they want . Clean water ! Zadar
