Prnjica Beach, Croatia
Prnjica Beach, located in the coastal village of Kustići on the island of Pag, stretches along Vidalići 47 with a 1.1 km shoreline. This straight-shore beach features a mix of beige sand and pebbles, with a seabed composed of sand and pebbles that slopes gently into the sea. While it lacks formal amenities like cafes or shaded seating, its natural setting and snorkeling opportunities make it a notable spot along Croatia’s Adriatic coast.
Beach character
The beach’s predominant surface is black sand with pebbles, creating a unique texture underfoot. The smooth depth increase makes it suitable for children and non-swimmers, though the pebbles may require rubber shoes for comfort in shallower areas. Reviews consistently highlight the clarity of the water, with one visitor noting, 'the water is usually crystal clear' and another describing 'perfect, calm, clean water with all the beautiful shades of blue.'
Swimming and shore
Swimming conditions are generally favorable, with the sea floor’s gradual slope offering a safe environment for families. Snorkeling is a popular activity, as the beach is explicitly listed for this purpose. However, the absence of designated swimming zones or lifeguards means visitors should exercise caution, particularly on the right side of the beach, which some reviewers described as 'a little bit more dirty.'
Facilities and activities
Prnjica Beach does not feature structured amenities such as showers, toilets, or food vendors. Parking is available but requires a fee of 20 kn, as noted by multiple reviewers. The lack of shade and food options was a recurring point of discussion, with one visitor stating, 'there's no bistro nor anything like that' and another recommending 'expect to pay 15kn' for parking. Activities are limited to snorkeling, though the beach’s natural setting allows for leisurely exploration of shells and rocky outcrops.
Access and location
Access to Prnjica Beach is via the settlement of Kustići on Pag, a island known for its rugged coastline and traditional stone houses. The beach is accessible by car, with parking fees applicable during peak seasons. Its location on Pag’s northern shore places it within reach of other notable Adriatic destinations, including the nearby island of Rab and the mainland town of Senj.
What visitors say
Reviews from visitors consistently emphasize the beach’s natural beauty and relative tranquility compared to more crowded spots like Čista Beach. One reviewer called it 'one of the most beautiful beaches in Pag,' while another noted its 'peaceful and quiet' atmosphere. However, recurring criticisms include the lack of food facilities and the presence of litter, with one visitor stating, 'some litter and no bins' were disappointing aspects. Parking fees, while standard, were occasionally cited as a drawback.
Practical tips
Bring your own food and drinks, as there are no on-site vendors. Opt for the left side of the beach to avoid litter. Wear rubber shoes to navigate the pebbles comfortably. Arrive early to secure parking, and be prepared for a fee of 20 kn during peak seasons.

Reviews
The beach itself is stunning and less crowded (comparing it to sv. Duh, Čista or Ručica). Parking fee is 20 kn. There's no bistro nor anything like that. A little upsetting thing is the fact of some litter and no bins.
20kn parking, no buffet so less people than on neighbouring beaches, good for snorcheling, no shade, one of the most beautiful beach in Pag
This beach was a total bliss. The water is perfect - calm, clean and alit has all the beautiful shades of blue. Small stones, better to wear rubber shoes in the water. Paid parking is quite large, we paid 15kuna in September. There is no bar and no shade. We liked this beach better than Cista and Sv Duh.
Great beach!! The place is usually very peaceful and quiet compared to plaža Čista for example. It’s pretty clean and the water is usually crystal clear You can find tons of shells and pretty rocks If you have kids the place is relatively shallow so that’s good too The only negatives are that there is no place to get food at and that the right side of the beach is a little bit more dirty So I recommend you to go to the left not the right The left is a little smaller but better And expect to pay 15kn if I remember correctly Great beach tho, you should definitely try visiting it here
The beach is beautiful, quiet, nice place for family with children! Sometimes gets windy! 2 bad there is no cafe or beach bar where u can buy food or drink a cup of coffee! Lika-Senj
