Podsilo Beach, Croatia
Beach character
The beach is defined by its crescent shape, framed by steep cliffs that rise from the shoreline. The sand is predominantly beige, with no artificial structures or amenities. The sea floor is composed of sand, and the depth increases gradually, making it suitable for wading. During high season, the beach can become busy, though visitor reviews consistently note its relative seclusion compared to more accessible Croatian shores. Cleanliness is described as moderate, with no dedicated facilities for waste disposal or showers.Swimming and shore
The shallow waters near the shore are ideal for wading, though swimmers must walk approximately 50 meters to reach deeper areas suitable for swimming. The lack of natural shade is a recurring theme in visitor reports, with several reviewers emphasizing the need to bring umbrellas or sun protection. No nudist activity was observed during visits, and the beach remains family-friendly for those prepared for the sun exposure.Facilities and activities
There are no official amenities at Podsilo Beach, including restrooms, showers, or shaded seating. Access is via a 15-minute trail from a parking area or by boat. The beach is recommended for hikers due to its proximity to inland trails and for dog owners, as pets are permitted on the sand. Activities are limited to swimming and sunbathing, with no organized rentals or water sports.Access and location
The beach is accessible via a trail from the nearest parking area, which requires a 15-minute walk through Mediterranean vegetation. Alternative access is available by boat, making it a viable destination for yacht charter guests. Located in Lopar, a coastal village in Croatia’s Primorje-Gorski Kotar region, the beach is part of a landscape characterized by cliffs and pine forests. Its coordinates (44.84609° N, 14.74596° E) place it near the Adriatic Sea’s northern coast. What visitors say

Reviews
An amazing hidden gem! 15 minutes of walking from the parking place thru lovely mediterranean vegetation, no people at all 🫶🏻
You will have to leave the car 15-ish minutes away from the beach itself through a trail downhill, but this sandy half-mooned beach is worth the hike: the water is shallow and it takes a while to get to the part where is deep enough to swim. There seem to be no FKK (nudist) part, but maybe I did not see that. There is basically no shade so bring an umbrella or something to cover yourself because it gets really hot on the sand.
A perfect beach! Clean, peaceful and there were very few peoples on the beach in the evening.
Nice beach with just a few people... Perfect for lonesome adventures. It's accessible by boat or by foot. If you're going with small children, there is no shadow. Think of it.
Interesting place, missing natural shade ! Primorje-Gorski Kotar
