Plaza Vruljice Beach, Croatia
Beach character
The beach's defining feature is its linear shape, measuring 110 meters in length with a consistent 10-meter width. The sand is predominantly beige with pebble inclusions, creating a textured walking surface. Beneath the waves, the seabed consists of boulders that transition gradually to deeper waters. This geological composition contributes to the beach's unique character, though it may affect the experience of swimmers seeking sandy bottoms.Swimming and shore
The sea floor's boulders create a distinct swimming environment, with water depth increasing smoothly from the shore. While not ideal for toddlers wading, the beach is well-suited for older swimmers and water sports enthusiasts. A notable feature is the nearby Aquapark, maintained by a local operator, which offers additional aquatic entertainment. The beach's natural shade provides relief from the sun, though visitors should note the limited spatial coverage of this shade.Facilities and activities
Plaza Vruljice features a Beach Bar named 'Kate' that serves refreshments at competitive prices. The beach includes showers (2 HRK for 30 seconds) and a changing cabin, though these facilities are modest in scale. Water entertainment is explicitly listed as an available activity, though specific offerings are not detailed in the catalog. The presence of stairs leading to the beach may pose challenges for visitors with mobility aids or parents with young children.Access and location
Access to the beach requires climbing a set of stairs from the road at Put Mrviska 41. This design makes the beach less accessible for visitors with strollers or those requiring wheelchair access. The beach is situated within Tkon, a coastal village that offers basic amenities for tourists. Its location on the Dalmatian Coast places it within reach of several historic Adriatic ports and sailing routes. What visitors say
Reviewers consistently highlight the beach's practical amenities, with one noting the presence of 'a Beach Bar "Kate" with attractive prices' and another mentioning 'a small beach great for adults and older children.' Multiple visitors praised the natural shade and the Aquapark, though some noted the stairs as a drawback. One reviewer specifically advised, 'forget baby stroller if alone,' while others emphasized the beach's suitability for 'couples with small children, non-swimmers and retirees.'Practical tips
Be prepared for a staircase approach to the beach, which may require careful navigation. The showers and changing cabin are available but limited in capacity. The Beach Bar 'Kate' is a notable feature, though its operational hours are not specified in the catalog. Given the beach's 'Busy' designation in high season, early arrival is recommended for optimal seating at the bar.Exploring the coast by yacht
As part of the Dalmatian Coast, Tkon lies within a region renowned for its yacht charter opportunities. The proximity to the Adriatic Sea makes it a convenient stop for sailors exploring the Croatian coastline. While the beach itself is not a formal anchorage, its location near Tkon provides access to marinas and sailing routes that connect to other coastal attractions in the area.Local Character and Accessibility Notes
The beach's connection to Tkon's settlement means visitors have access to basic village services. However, the stairway approach to the beach may limit its appeal for families with very young children. The Aquapark, mentioned in reviews, appears to be a locally maintained facility rather than a commercial operation.Anchorages in the surrounding area

Reviews
The beach is attractive, there is a Beach Bar "Kate" on it with attractive prices. The location is mostly in the shade, so it is not exposed to much sun. The sea is relatively warm. Near the beach there is an Aquapark maintained by a polite elderly lady.
A small beach great for adults and older children. milan anicic
Nice beach. You can walk to the sea up to 350 m. Ideal for couples with small children, non-swimmers and retirees... !!! 👍👌👏
It's small sandy beach. Excellent for small kids, although only stairs approach, so forget baby stroller if alone. It has showers (2HRK 30sec), small beach bar, changing cabin and beautiful view. And you could find shade whole day.
