Plaza Mocunig Beach, Croatia
Beach character
Plaza Mocunig is a 60-meter-long cove with a narrow width of 10 meters, characterized by its small beige pebbles that dominate the shoreline. The beach is surrounded by dramatic cliffs and mountainous landscapes, creating a secluded and sheltered environment. The seabed beneath the water combines sand and large boulders, with a gradual depth increase that supports snorkeling but requires caution due to the uneven terrain. The beach's natural setting, away from the main settlement, contributes to its tranquil atmosphere and minimal crowds during peak season.Swimming and shore
The beach's moderate depth increase and mixed seabed composition make it suitable for snorkeling but less ideal for swimming in deeper areas. The pebbly shore requires careful navigation, particularly on the western side where rocks are more pronounced. Visitors have noted that the beach is best explored during early morning hours when the shade extends further inland, and the rocky path to the shore is more manageable. The surrounding waters, while not excessively deep, offer opportunities for snorkeling due to the visibility provided by the sandy patches between boulders.Facilities and activities
No formal amenities are present at Plaza Mocunig, aligning with its secluded character. However, the beach is associated with snorkeling, leveraging the clear patches of sand on the seabed. Access to the beach is facilitated by free parking located a short walk away in Donja Klada, with some visitors noting the need to paddle from nearby settlements like Starigrad and Lukovo. The lack of structured facilities emphasizes the beach's natural, unspoiled environment, appealing to those seeking a minimalist coastal experience.Access and location
Plaza Mocunig is accessible via a rocky path from Donja Klada, with free parking available in the settlement. Visitors can also reach the beach by paddling from Starigrad or Lukovo, settlements located along the same coastal stretch. The beach's proximity to these points makes it a convenient stop for those exploring the region by kayak or yacht. Its location within the Adriatic coastline positions it as part of a broader network of coastal landmarks and sailing routes in Croatia's northern Dalmatian coast. What visitors say
Reviewers consistently highlight the beach's natural beauty and seclusion, with multiple visitors describing it as 'exceptional' and 'really beautiful.' One guest noted it as a 'pleasant option to paddle to the beach from Donja Klada,' emphasizing its accessibility for those preferring non-motorized water activities. However, several reviews mention the rocky path to the shore as a challenge, with one visitor stating, 'The path to the beach is rocky and not easy to walk on.' Despite this, the beach's cleanliness is frequently praised, with one reviewer calling it 'excelent.' The beach's appeal is further underscored by its suitability for hikers and leisure seekers, with minimal crowds during high season.Practical tips

Really beautiful beach
A nice alternative to the main beach of Donja Klada. A few minutes' walk from quite big parking just above the settlement (parking is free of charge). The path to the beach is rocky and not easy to walk on.
In shade only until 12. Rocks on west side are good for jumping.
