Plaza Camac Beach, Croatia
Beach character
The beach's defining feature is its cove shape, with a narrow entrance that creates a sheltered environment. The shoreline is predominantly covered in beige pebbles, interspersed with small sandy patches. The surrounding landscape includes low-lying hills that provide natural shade, particularly during midday. The sea floor slopes gently with a moderate depth increase, making it suitable for shallow-water activities. The beach's orientation and topography contribute to its relatively calm waters, though wave activity can vary with seasonal winds.Swimming and shore
Swimming conditions at Plaza Camac are generally manageable due to the moderate depth increase, though the pebble-covered shore may require caution. The beach's sheltered position reduces wave impact, making it a viable spot for snorkeling and swimming. The absence of artificial structures means the shoreline remains unaltered, preserving its natural character. Visitors should note that the pebbles can be uncomfortable for prolonged sunbathing but offer a stable surface for walking.Facilities and activities
Official amenities are minimal at Plaza Camac. There are no permanent facilities such as showers, changing rooms, or lifeguard services. Visitor reviews mention the presence of basic toilets, though conditions have been described as poor in some reports. The beach is associated with three primary activities: stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), surfing, and snorkeling. These are likely facilitated by the beach's natural contours and nearby water conditions. No rental equipment or guided tours are explicitly listed in the catalog.Access and location
Plaza Camac is situated in Lokva Rogoznica, a small settlement on the northern coast of the Pelješac Peninsula. The beach is accessible via a short walk from the nearby road, with no formal parking areas indicated. Its location places it within proximity to the broader Split-Dalmatia region, a popular sailing destination. The surrounding area includes a mix of rural landscapes and coastal settlements, with the nearest larger towns being Omiš and Šibenik, both known for their maritime heritage and yacht charter opportunities. What visitors say
Visitor reviews highlight a mixed experience at Plaza Camac. One reviewer praised the beach's privacy and natural shade, noting it as a "great beach without many people" where "you could also sunbathe naked." Another described the toilets as "a disaster" with damaged doors and poor cleanliness, though they were free of charge. A third reviewer emphasized the beach's "private" character and "clean" environment. The beach's nudist-friendly reputation is consistently mentioned, with several visitors noting its appeal to those seeking a more relaxed, uncrowded atmosphere.Practical tips
Visitors should consider bringing a towel or mat for comfort on the pebbles, as the shoreline lacks designated seating areas. The absence of permanent facilities means basic provisions like water or snacks should be brought from elsewhere. Due to the beach's nudist orientation, visitors are advised to respect local norms regarding dress codes. The lack of formal parking suggests arriving early to secure a convenient access point.Exploring the coast by yacht
Plaza Camac's location on the Pelješac Peninsula places it within a region renowned for its sailing opportunities. The nearby Split-Dalmatia coast offers a network of anchorages, marinas, and yacht-friendly routes, making it a viable stop for charter guests exploring the Adriatic. While the beach itself is not a formal marina or anchorage, its proximity to coastal towns like Omiš and Šibenik—both with established yacht infrastructure—provides convenient access points for sailors. The surrounding waters are known for their clear visibility and varied coastal scenery, appealing to both leisure and sport sailors.Nudist-Friendly Environment
Plaza Camac is explicitly noted as a nudist-friendly beach, with several reviews emphasizing its appeal to visitors seeking a relaxed, uncrowded atmosphere. This characteristic is a key factor for some visitors, though it may not align with all preferences. The beach's natural seclusion and limited infrastructure contribute to its reputation as a destination for those comfortable with this aspect of its character.Anchorages in the surrounding area

Reviews
The beach is a dream, the toilets are a disaster. Dirty, all doors damaged/can't lock them... they're free of charge though.
Great beach without many people. If you want to relax and have great time without too many children running around, this beach is for you. You could also sunbath naked in case you are interested as there are less people during a day. There are also trees to hide in a shadow during sunny days and noon which is great. Also a small part is of the beach has sand which is pleasant. Sun shines here up till like 7 pm. There are no showers but it's fine. du
