Mimice Beach, Croatia
Mimice Beach lies along the Adriatic coast near the village of Mimice, nestled between mountain slopes and the sea. This 360-meter-long cove features a surface of small beige pebbles, with the sea floor composed of similar stones. The beach is framed by cliffs and mountains, offering a natural backdrop for visitors. While it is marked as 'packed' during high season, reviews consistently note its cleanliness and appeal to families and leisure travelers.
Beach character
The beach's defining feature is its pebble composition, with small beige stones covering most of the shore. The depth increases moderately as one moves into the water, making it suitable for swimming and water activities. The landscape is dominated by mountainous terrain, with cliffs rising from the shoreline. Visitors have highlighted the clarity of the sea and the presence of natural rock formations ideal for diving. The beach is relatively small, with limited shaded areas, requiring sun protection for extended stays.
Swimming and shore
The sea floor is composed of small pebbles, which may make barefoot swimming uncomfortable for some. However, the water is described as 'chrystal clear' in reviews, allowing visibility of underwater features. The moderate depth increase makes it accessible for swimmers of varying abilities. Activities such as snorkeling, surfing, and stand-up paddleboarding are available, with some visitors noting the presence of waves suitable for surfing. The beach's orientation within the cove provides shelter from direct winds, though exposure to sun is a consideration due to limited shade.
Facilities and activities
No formal amenities are listed in the beach's authoritative features, but visitor reports mention free showers and the availability of traditional Croatian pastries sold by vendors near the shore. The beach supports water-based activities including SUP, surfing, snorkeling, and general water entertainment. Nearby, a restaurant named 'Val' is referenced in one review, suggesting proximity to dining options. The lack of structured facilities means visitors should plan for self-sufficiency in terms of shade, seating, and refreshments.

A 2024 reviewer noted the proximity to restaurants, and a 2021 visitor mentioned free showers but the need for sun protection due to limited shade. All four reviews awarded the beach a maximum rating of 'Exceptional,' emphasizing its appeal despite being crowded during peak season.
Practical tips

Reviews
Nice little beach, not my favorite in the region but it serves the purpose. A few restaurants close by.
Chrystal clear sea, couple of trees and some cliffs to dive from offer once in a lifetime experience. I love it that you can buy traditional Croatian pastry because the vendors come straight to you with their baskets. Also - freshly boiled corn with butter and salt.
Small clean beach. Free showers. There isnt shadowed places so you need sun umbrella.
Mimice is a quit nice location and I would like to recommend Appartement "Sonja II" - you will find it @ Restaurant Val π Split-Dalmatia
