Marina Ljubacki Beach, Croatia
Beach character
Marina Ljubacki stretches 450 meters along a straight shoreline, with a width of 80 meters. The beach is composed of brown sand, a characteristic feature of the area’s coastal geology. Beneath the water, the seabed consists of silt, which contributes to the beach’s smooth depth increase—ideal for children and novice swimmers. This gradual slope ensures safe entry into the water, though the silt substrate may not be suitable for activities requiring firm footing, such as snorkeling or certain types of diving.Swimming and shore
The beach’s gentle depth progression makes it particularly welcoming for families with young children. Swimmers can wade into the sea for extended distances before encountering deeper waters. While the silt seabed may feel less stable underfoot, it poses no safety concerns for general swimming. The area is also popular for water sports, with windsurfing and surfing opportunities available along the open stretches of the shore.Facilities and activities
Though no formal amenities are listed in the beach’s authoritative features, visitor accounts highlight the presence of a beach bar and nearby restaurants within the marina complex. The marina itself offers large parking facilities and is noted for its welcoming atmosphere, with boat owners often assisting visitors. The beach’s natural features support windsurfing and surfing, making it a magnet for water sports enthusiasts during favorable wind conditions.Access and location
Situated in Ražanac, a quiet coastal settlement near Zadar, Marina Ljubacki is accessible via local roads connecting to the broader Dalmatian coast. Its coordinates (44.24575°N, 15.28817°E) place it within easy reach of Zadar’s historic Old Town and the nearby islands of Šolta and Vis. The marina’s sheltered position provides respite from prevailing winds, a feature that makes it an attractive stop for sailors exploring the region. What visitors say
Reviewers consistently praise Marina Ljubacki’s tranquil atmosphere and family-friendly environment. One visitor noted, "A small, wonderful harbor with a few good restaurants and a nice beach bar. Everything you need to relax." Another highlighted the marina’s protection from wind, stating, "Completely protected from all winds. A nice place for a pleasant morning or evening walk." While some mention the presence of informal camping near the beach, locals and tourists alike appear to coexist harmoniously in this area.Practical tips
Visitors should be mindful of the silt seabed when engaging in activities requiring stable footing. A small, wonderful harbor with a few good restaurants and a nice beach bar. Everything you need to relax. The adjacent beach is particularly suitable for children as there is sand there and you can walk in for what feels like hundreds of meters.
