Labadusa Beach II - Uvala Duga, Croatia
Beach character
The beach's defining feature is its pebble composition, which covers both the shoreline and the shallow sea floor. Depths increase gradually, making it suitable for leisurely wading but less ideal for swimming in deeper areas. The natural landscape creates a sheltered environment, with mountainous terrain providing shade during peak hours. This geological setting contributes to the beach's moderate crowd index during high season, as the narrow access road can become congested.Swimming and shore
The clear, cool waters of Labadusa Beach II are a notable feature, though the pebble-strewn shore requires water shoes for comfort. Depth increases moderately from the shore, creating a gradual transition to deeper waters. While snorkeling opportunities are limited due to sparse marine life, the beach's sheltered position offers calmer conditions compared to more exposed coastal areas. The pebble surface remains firm even during low tide, though sun loungers and umbrellas are recommended for extended relaxation.Facilities and activities
Basic amenities include a nearby bar and restaurant, accessible via the main road. Visitor reports note the availability of sun loungers and umbrellas for rental at β¬15 per day for two loungers and an umbrella. No structured facilities are listed in the beach catalog, but the surrounding area provides essential services. The beach's natural setting makes it particularly appealing for those seeking solitude amid dramatic landscapes.Access and location
The beach is located 15-18 minutes by car from the old town, though the narrow access road can create traffic congestion, especially during peak hours. Public transportation options are limited, with Uber and similar services not reliably covering the area. Visitors without personal vehicles are advised to arrange alternative transportation in advance. The beach's coordinates (43.48343, 16.24659) place it within the broader sailing region of the Adriatic coast. What visitors say
Visitors have reported mixed experiences with the beach's accessibility and comfort. One reviewer noted a one-hour traffic jam on the narrow road during departure, while another highlighted the need for water shoes due to the pebble shoreline. Multiple reviews praised the clear waters and mountainous backdrop, with one describing the beach as 'amazing and worth going to for sure.' The moderate crowd levels during high season contrast with the need to secure sun loungers early to avoid discomfort on the stones.

Reviews
Beach is great, but the road to it get's quite jammed as it's very narrow. We were stuck in a traffic jam for more than hour just to leave the island.
Pretty nice beach! There is some natural shade but the beach gets quite busy so if you come late it might be hard to get a good spot. We rented sun loungers and umbrellas and it was β¬15 euros a day for 2 loungers and an umbrella. Would defo recommend doing this if you can afford it as lying on the stones canβt be too comfortable. The water is super clear and a nice cool temperature, you should defo wear water shoes because of the stones. Not many fish if youβre wanting to snorkel. Thereβs a bar and restaurant as well which is handy.
A very nice beach to experience, wild nature, we enjoyed the very clear water, the beach is surrounded by mountains that covered by pine trees, which shaded our spot. If you donβt have a car, itβs better to arrange for the transportation, although itβs only 15-18 mints by car from the old town, but the area is not covered well by Uber or other means. Take your snacks and enjoy the standing paddle boards.. the beach was amazing and worth going to for sure.
