Kandarola III Beach, Rab: A Nudist-Friendly Cove with Unique Facilities, Croatia
Beach character
The beach is defined by its cove shape and rocky terrain. The sea floor consists of boulders, with depth increasing moderately as one moves away from the shore. Natural shade is provided by the surrounding landscape, offering respite from the sun. The beach is not sandy but is described in reviews as 'crystal clear water' and 'well-equipped,' with facilities including showers, toilets, and sunbed rentals. Its 'crowd index high season: Packed' rating indicates it can become busy during peak months, though visitors have reported it as 'not too busy' in early June.Swimming and shore
Swimming conditions are influenced by the rocky seabed, with reviewers noting that the water is 'cristal' and 'exceptional' in clarity. However, the beach's rocky nature means swimming with dogs is restricted to the upper, rocky areas. The depth increases gradually, making it suitable for confident swimmers. The shoreline is marked by boulders, which some visitors found challenging for sunbathing but others appreciated for their natural character.Facilities and activities
The beach is equipped with showers, toilets, a volleyball court, and a small red waterslide for adults. Sunbeds are available for rental (€10/day under a bamboo umbrella) and are described as 'very acceptable' in pricing. A restaurant and bar are present, offering food and drinks at standard island prices. Entrance to the beach area costs €5 per person, with no mention of parking or additional fees in the catalog. Visitors are allowed to bring their own food and drinks.Access and location

Rab, where Kandarola III Beach is located, is a well-known sailing destination in Croatia's Adriatic coast. Charter guests exploring the northern Dalmatian islands may find this beach accessible via nearby marinas in Rab town. The area's rocky coastline and coves make it a popular spot for sailors seeking sheltered anchorages. While the beach itself is not a marina, its proximity to the KAMPOR apartments and the island's sailing infrastructure make it a convenient stop for those combining beach relaxation with yacht-based exploration.Nudist Culture at Kandarola III
Kandarola III Beach is explicitly marked as an FKK (Freikörperkultur) zone, a term for nudist-friendly areas in Germany and Austria. In Croatia, such beaches are less common, making this a notable destination for those seeking a nudist experience. Reviews
Simply lovely! A little piece of paradise! Nudist beach with good facilities and a stunning view. Watershoes recommended. We payed 5eu pp entrance for the beach area, including multiple showers on the beach (clean) toilets and a volleyball place. Even a small red waterslide suited for adults. Dogs are allowed but not for swimming, Swimming with your dog is more up, on a rocky side. Beginning of June it was not too busy. We got two sunbeds under a bamboo umbrella for 10eu for the whole day. For us very acceptable. The staff was very friendly. Even though this is strictly FKK (meaning nude!) Sadly there was a couple, and a few other individuals who had swimsuits on. If you want this, fine, but stay away from FKK places.
Beautiful beach but rocky, no sand. For the best spots should go earlier. Wasnt crowded in weekend too. And lots of good spots if you want to sunbathe much more privately
Is a really nice beach. Súper well equipped and clean and cristal water. They have full equipment: stairs, showers, beach loungers, parasols, restaurant, bar. Really necessary for a rock beach. If you go to Rab it’s an great option. We went the first time and we keep going the following days. You can bring food and drinks by your own. Is necessary to take into consideration that is a private beach. -Fee: 4€/person. -Beach lounger: 5€/each/day. Prices at the bar are not low but neither high. Really standard for the island and appropriate taking into consideration that there’s nothing around. Primorje-Gorski Kotar
