Justitija Beach - Sutivan, Croatia
Located on the southern coast of the island of Brač, Justitija Beach lies within the village of Sutivan, a historic settlement known for its traditional stone houses and proximity to the famous Bol Beach. This pebble beach stretches along a 50-meter shoreline, flanked by natural shade from surrounding rock formations. While lacking modern amenities, its tranquil setting and clear waters make it a favored spot for those seeking a more secluded coastal experience.
Beach character
The beach consists of beige pebbles arranged in a straight shoreline, with a sea floor composition matching the beach surface. Depth increases moderately as one moves away from the shore, creating conditions suitable for snorkeling and shallow-water activities. Natural shade is provided by rocky outcrops along the beach, offering respite from the sun. The beach is explicitly marked as a wild camping area, though no formal facilities are available for campers.
Swimming and shore
The pebble beach allows for direct access to the sea, with water clarity reported as exceptionally high by visitors. The sea floor remains consistent with the beach surface, comprising pebbles that extend into the water. Depth increases gradually, making it suitable for snorkeling but less ideal for swimming in deeper areas. One reviewer noted the presence of sea urchins, recommending footwear for safety when entering the water.
Facilities and activities
No formal facilities such as showers, toilets, or changing rooms are present at Justitija Beach. The closest amenities require a 500-meter walk to another beach, as noted by one visitor. Activities available include kayaking, surfing, and snorkeling, with the latter being particularly praised for the beach's clear waters. The area's natural terrain also supports hiking along a rocky coastal trail, though it is described as uneven and challenging.
Access and location
Access to the beach requires navigating a rocky path from the road, which some visitors found difficult to traverse with a car. The beach is situated within Sutivan, a village on Brač's southern coast, and is part of a broader network of beaches along the island's shoreline. Its proximity to Bol, a more developed coastal area, makes it a potential stop for those exploring the Brač coastline by yacht or on foot.
What visitors say
Visitors have reported a mix of experiences at Justitija Beach. One reviewer described it as 'not crowded, sunny and quiet,' while another noted the beach's 'clearest water I have ever seen.' However, challenges include the rocky access path and the absence of on-site facilities. A recurring theme in reviews is the beach's suitability for snorkeling and its tranquil atmosphere, though some found the lack of amenities inconvenient. One visitor warned of sea urchins, emphasizing the need for proper footwear in the water.
Practical tips
Bring sturdy footwear for the rocky access path and consider bringing a towel or mat for sunbathing on the pebbles. Sea urchins are present in the shallows, so water shoes are recommended for swimming. Plan to use facilities at neighboring beaches if needed, as no amenities are available on-site. The beach is ideal for early morning visits to avoid potential crowds.
Exploring the coast by yacht
For yacht charter guests exploring the Brač coastline, Justitija Beach offers a quiet alternative to more crowded areas. Its proximity to Sutivan and Bol makes it a potential stop for those sailing along the island's southern shore. The surrounding waters are suitable for snorkeling and kayaking, aligning with the activities available at the beach. However, no marinas or anchorages are explicitly mentioned in the area, so visitors should consult Euro-Agent's yacht search page for nearby docking options.

Reviews
Small, cozy, not crowded beach Not easy access with car
This is our favourite beach next to Sutivan. Vonderful. Recommended, not crowded, sunny and quiet. Snorkering place.
Great pebble beach with clear blue waters and not too many people around. Plenty of sea urchins so definitely good idea to have something on your feet when swimming.
This is a lovely stone beach with the clearest water I have ever seen. It is easy to walk or bike to but you will need to walk down some rocks to get to the beach. There aren't any local facilities such as a toilet or changing room without walking 500m back to another beach where there is a changing cubicle and bar. There is also a lovely walk trail which hugs the coast of the island but it's not a normal path. It is very Rocky and wobbly and at about 4pm it gets a little windy. I did like it because it was quiet but it's not very comfortable because to sun bath you have to lay on rocks and there is not much beach except 2/3 meters in depth so no beach games but great for snorkeling.
