Huboka Beach - Marina 39 Sveta Marina, Rabac, Croatia
Huboka Beach, located near Marina 39 Sveta Marina in Rabac, Croatia, offers a unique coastal experience with its pebble shoreline and sheltered cove. This 100-meter stretch of beach, framed by cliffs, provides natural shade and moderate depth progression, making it accessible for swimmers while retaining a sense of seclusion. The beach’s proximity to the marina and its appeal for water sports make it a notable spot along the Istrian coast.
Beach character
The beach’s defining feature is its beige pebble surface, which covers most of the shoreline. While the pebbles may require swim shoes for comfort, they contribute to the beach’s natural aesthetic and provide a stable base for activities like snorkeling and surfing. The seabed is composed of medium-sized pebbles, with a gradual depth increase that avoids abrupt changes. Cliffs along the shoreline offer natural shade, particularly in the late afternoon, creating a tranquil atmosphere despite the beach’s popularity in high season.
Swimming and shore
Swimming conditions at Huboka are generally favorable, with visitors noting the clarity of the water. The moderate depth progression allows for safe entry, though the pebble surface may affect comfort for those unaccustomed to it. The beach’s sheltered cove reduces wave intensity, making it suitable for families and water sports enthusiasts. Snorkeling is a popular activity, with reviewers highlighting the visibility beneath the surface. Surfing and stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) are also available, leveraging the beach’s natural topography and calm waters.
Facilities and activities
Facilities at Huboka Beach are minimal, reflecting its natural character. There are no permanent structures such as toilets, changing rooms, or umbrellas. However, free parking is available within walking distance, as noted by visitors. The beach’s activities are centered around water sports: SUP, surfing, and snorkeling. These options are supported by the beach’s layout and water conditions. Visitors should note the absence of amenities like bins or shade structures beyond the natural cliff cover.
Access and location
Huboka Beach is accessible via a short walk from Marina 39 Sveta Marina, a key marina on the Istrian coast. The beach’s location within Rabac, a coastal town in Croatia, places it near other attractions and sailing routes. The coordinates (45.02825, 14.15478) position it along the northern Adriatic, where yacht charters frequently operate. The proximity to the marina makes it a convenient stop for sailors exploring the region.
What visitors say
Visitors consistently highlight the beach’s clean waters and scenic setting. One reviewer noted, "The water is clean, and the white pebbles create a picturesque environment." Another described it as "a paradise" with "nice snorkeling" and "natural shade in the late afternoon." However, some observations include the lack of facilities: "No toilets, no bars, nearly no internet" was mentioned by a reviewer. Despite these limitations, the beach’s appeal lies in its unspoiled character and accessibility, with one visitor emphasizing that it was "almost empty" during a weekday visit in early July.
Practical tips
Consider bringing swim shoes for comfort on the pebble surface. Arrive early in the day to avoid crowds, especially during high season. The absence of bins means visitors should carry out all waste. For those relying on digital connectivity, note that internet access is limited. The nearby Marina 39 offers amenities for yacht charter guests, including docking and supplies.

Reviews
Nice place good to swim the water is clean
beautiful huge pebble beach, clear water
This beach is like a paradise! Clean and clear water, white pebbles, nice snorkeling, natural shade in the late afternoon. We came on a weekday in the beginning of July at 4 pm and it was almost empty. There is also a free parking just few minutes of walk from the beach. There are no rubish bins but still there are no litters on the beach.
Beautiful beach, small stones only, so swim shoes are truly recommended. No toilets, no bars, nearly no internet. Istria
