Filozici Beach, Croatia
Beach character
Filozici Beach spans 100 meters in length and 40 meters in width, forming a narrow cove protected by steep limestone cliffs. The shoreline is composed primarily of white pebbles, with occasional patches of coarse sand. The sea floor slopes gradually into deeper waters, with moderate depth increase making it suitable for snorkeling and diving. The surrounding landscape features rugged mountains and dense vegetation, creating a stark contrast to the azure sea. One reviewer noted the 'unique cliffs' and 'cave formations' nearby, which contribute to the beach's dramatic character.Swimming and shore
The beach's pebbly shore requires some effort to navigate, but the water quality is consistently described as 'extremely clean' in visitor reviews. The depth increases gradually, making it accessible for swimmers while still offering opportunities for more advanced water activities. The sea's green-blue hue, frequently mentioned by visitors, suggests nutrient-rich waters that support diverse marine life. The moderate depth increase allows for both shallow-water exploration and deeper dives, though the lack of formal diving facilities means enthusiasts must bring their own equipment.Facilities and activities
No formal amenities are listed for Filozici Beach, consistent with its remote character. However, the beach supports several water-based activities: diving (including SUP), surfing, and snorkeling. The absence of marked facilities means visitors should bring their own gear for these pursuits. One review specifically highlighted the 'small caves next to it' as a notable feature, though these are not designated for recreational use. The beach's primary appeal lies in its natural setting rather than structured amenities.Access and location
Located in the Cres - Porozina municipality on the island of Cres, Filozici Beach is accessible primarily by boat. Visitor accounts suggest it may be reachable by sea only, though no specific docking facilities are mentioned. The beach's coordinates (45.11365Β°N, 14.28009Β°E) place it in a region of the Adriatic known for its rugged coastline and sailing opportunities. The nearby town of Porozina, a historic fishing village, offers basic services and is a common starting point for boat excursions to the area. What visitors say
Reviewers consistently describe Filozici Beach as a 'work of art of nature' with 'stunning' waters and 'magical' scenery. Multiple visitors noted the beach's accessibility only by boat, with one describing it as 'a place you can't be there too late.' The 'unique cliffs' and 'cave formations' near the shore are frequently mentioned as standout features. Despite its remote location, cleanliness is described as 'good,' and the 'minimum' crowd index in high season suggests it remains relatively uncrowded compared to other Adriatic beaches.
Practical tips
Given the beach's boat-only accessibility, visitors should plan transportation in advance. The lack of formal facilities means bringing personal items for water activities is essential. While no specific restrictions are mentioned, the natural terrain suggests caution when navigating the pebbly shoreline.

A work of art of nature. Stunning. Crystal clear water. Simply wonderful!
Nice beach where you also get some shade. The small caves next to it are nice to look at. Often visited by excursion ships. If you want a place you can't be there too late ;)
A beautiful beach, which I believe can only be reached by boat, surrounded by unique cliffs. In the immediate vicinity there is a cave, if not more. Trees and other low vegetation provide a contrast to the beautiful and clear blue sea, creating an image and experience of a place of special and exceptional beauty.
A dream place, the Sea is extremely clean green blue color that leaves you breathless. In a word, magical
