Camp Stobrec Beach - Split, Croatia
Camp Stobrec Beach lies along Cetinska ulica 19 in Split, Croatia, offering a unique blend of natural beauty and recreational opportunities. This multi-cove beach stretches 360 meters with a width of 30 meters, framed by mountainous terrain that provides a striking backdrop. Its surface is composed of small beige pebbles, creating a distinct texture underfoot. The seabed is similarly covered in fine pebbles, and the water depth increases smoothly, making it a family-friendly spot for swimmers of all abilities.
Beach character
The beach's character is defined by its natural features and accessibility. The pebble composition, while not ideal for sunbathing, offers a stable surface for those who prefer to walk along the shore. The surrounding mountains contribute to a sense of seclusion, though the beach's proximity to Split means it is not entirely removed from urban life. Visitor reviews highlight the beach's appeal for its relatively low crowds compared to other Split beaches, despite being in a high-season area. The landscape's ruggedness contrasts with the gentle slope of the seabed, which ensures safe swimming conditions for children and non-swimmers.
Swimming and shore
The swimming conditions at Camp Stobrec are favorable due to the gradual increase in water depth. This makes it a suitable location for families with young children. The shore itself is composed of small pebbles, which can be uncomfortable for prolonged sunbathing but provide a stable surface for walking. Visitors have noted the presence of trees offering limited shade, though some reviews mention the lack of extensive shade as a drawback during peak summer months. A restaurant and café are located at the beach's end, providing refreshments such as coffee, beer, and snacks, though no full meals are available on-site.
Facilities and activities
While the beach does not have official amenities listed in the catalog, visitor reviews indicate the presence of a café serving coffee and beer, along with a nearby supermarket for additional provisions. The beach is associated with activities such as kayaking, surfing, and general water entertainment. One reviewer specifically mentioned a diving board at the beach's end, suggesting opportunities for water-based recreation beyond the listed activities. These features make Camp Stobrec a versatile destination for both relaxation and adventure.

A beautiful beach with pebbles and some trees for shade. As its quite a distant from Split town, it was “relatively” less crowded.
Very nice beach near Split 🏖️😎🌞 Just 20 minutes by bus and short walk from bus station 👍 Nice beach cafe with good coffee and beer options, but no food, so keep that in mind if you are hungry 😉 There is a supermarket near by though for snacks 😎
Great stoney beach in Stobreč. Sadly it hasn't got any shade and it isn't too much overcrowded. There is an great restaurant/cafe at the end of the beach.
