Betina Beach, Croatia
Beach character
Betina Beach is defined by its multi-cove structure and pebble-covered surface. The seabed consists of medium-sized pebbles, with a sudden drop-off into deeper water just meters from the shore. This configuration makes it particularly suitable for children who can wade in shallower areas while adults explore the clearer, deeper sections further out. The beach's natural contours create sheltered pockets that reduce wave impact, though the sharp depth transition requires caution when entering the water.Swimming and shore
The beach's pebble surface extends fully into the water, with a sudden increase in depth creating a distinct boundary between shallow and deeper zones. While this makes Betina less ideal for young children in all areas, certain coves offer more gradual transitions. Visitors have reported encountering sea urchins near the shore, particularly in the northern sections of the beach. The clear water allows visibility of these hazards, though careful footing is recommended.Facilities and activities
Betina Beach supports a range of water activities including stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), surfing, and snorkeling. The pebble shoreline provides natural launching points for SUP enthusiasts, while the consistent wave patterns make it a viable spot for surfers. Snorkeling is possible in the clearer deeper zones, though the pebbly seabed may limit visibility in shallower areas. No formal facilities are present, but the beach's cleanliness index is rated 'Good' based on visitor reports.Access and location
Located at Dolac 16B in Betina, the beach is accessible via road with sufficient parking available during peak seasons, according to visitor reports. Its proximity to Šibenik-Knin places it within a recognized sailing region of the Adriatic, where yachts often anchor in nearby bays and marinas. The beach's coordinates (43.81865, 15.60535) position it along a coastline that connects to the broader Šibenik-Knin Gulf sailing routes. What visitors say
Visitors have consistently noted the beach's cleanliness and natural beauty, with one reviewer describing it as 'quit clean town' with 'nice waters around.' Multiple reports highlight the presence of sea urchins near the shore, particularly in the northern coves, though the clear water allows visibility of these hazards. Parking availability was described as adequate during peak times, though visitors are advised to arrive early to secure spaces. The beach's narrow sections and pebble surface were mentioned as factors influencing its suitability for different groups.

Reviews
Quit clean town. Nice waters around. Good accessibly beach. nit kong
Beautiful beach with natural swans for us to see.
Beautiful beach. Enough parking space if you come by road. Take care not to step on the sea urchin when going into the sea.
Very clean beach with medium/large gravel/stone. Sea urchins in places on entry so be careful but a few spots are fairly clean. Avoid rocky entries the water is so clear you can clearly avoid them though and I want in bare foot. Amazing views but the beach is fairly narrow and small in places Šibenik-Knin
