Beach Kamp, Kastel Gomilica, Croatia
Beach Kamp, located in the coastal town of Kaštela, offers a unique blend of natural beauty and historical intrigue. Nestled along the Adriatic coast, this 220-meter-long beach features a distinctive pebble shoreline and offers sweeping views of the Kaštel Tower, a site famously featured in Game of Thrones. With a mix of leisure activities and proximity to Split and Trogir, it caters to both relaxed beachgoers and adventure seekers.
Beach character
The beach's defining feature is its beige pebble shoreline, which contrasts with the surrounding natural landscape. The seabed is composed of large boulders, creating a textured underwater environment. Depth increases gradually, making it moderately accessible for swimmers. The beach is flanked by natural shade from trees and palm groves, providing respite from the sun. Its straight shoreline and compact size make it an intimate spot, though visitor reviews note it can become busy during peak season.
Swimming and shore
Swimming conditions are influenced by the rocky seabed, which some visitors describe as potentially sharp near the shore. Reviewers recommend entering the water from the boat bar end to avoid discomfort. The moderate depth increase ensures safer swimming for most, though caution is advised for those unfamiliar with the terrain. The beach's pebble surface is more suited to walking than sunbathing, with shaded areas offering comfort for those seeking rest.
Facilities and activities
Beach Kamp provides basic amenities including free showers, clean toilets, and two beach bars serving food and drinks. Visitor reviews highlight the availability of changing rooms, bike rentals, and a small playground for children. The beach supports water-based activities such as stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), surfing, and general water entertainment. Free parking is available nearby, with paid options within close proximity. The absence of large stones, as noted by some visitors, makes it more accessible for families with young children.

What visitors say
Reviewers consistently praise the beach’s cleanliness and the scenic views of the Kaštel Tower. One visitor noted, 'The castle ruins provide a unique backdrop for photos, and the two beach bars offer convenient refreshments.' Another described it as 'a family-friendly oasis with easy access and a peaceful atmosphere.' However, some caution about the rocky seabed, with one reviewer advising, 'Be careful where you enter the water—the stones can really slice you.' The beach’s combination of amenities and natural features makes it a popular choice for both leisure and social activities.

Reviews
A beautiful, clean, rocky and quite intimate beach with a lot of crabs on the rocks. A lot of space in the shade of trees and palm trees. You can reach it by bus number 37 (running on the Split-Trogir route). Two beach bars, free showers and clean toilets. An additional advantage of bathing in this place is the view of the remains of the castle where the scenes with Aria in Braavos (Game of Thrones) were filmed. awanafan
a family-friendly oasis with easy access and a peaceful atmosphere. Amenities like changing rooms, toilets, and bike rentals make it convenient for all. Enjoy leisurely walks on the sandy paths and create lasting memories with loved ones.
Clean beach with clear water. Nice view to the Kaštel Tower or luxury yacht. Nice hang out area to enjoy good burgers and fries or just a beer or a coffee. Visit recommended! Free parking close to the beach or payable parking within close reach.
Nice beach, without large stones. There are few very cosy cafes, small plauground for kids and shower, wc. There are few palm tress so you can get a little of shadow. Jachs are comming in and out of harbour. It was not very crovded in the sunday.
Lovely little beach and compared to the other ones close by it’s the best hands down. 2 great beach bars, facilities at hand. Just be careful where you go in the water, the stones can really slice you. Go in by the boat bar end. Split-Dalmatia
