Bacvice Beach - Split, Croatia
Beach character
The beach's defining feature is its cove shape, with natural rock formations creating a sheltered environment. Brown sand dominates the shoreline, contrasting with the clear waters of the Adriatic. Depth increases smoothly from the shore, suitable for young swimmers and those with limited confidence in the water. Natural shade is provided by coastal vegetation, offering respite from the sun during peak hours.Swimming and shore
Shallow waters extend far from the shore, with depths increasing gradually to accommodate swimmers of all abilities. The beach's orientation creates natural currents that visitors note in reviews, with one describing 'the big rock fun to jump off.' Surfing is explicitly listed as an activity, though no rental services are mentioned in the catalog. The shore's sandy composition requires beachgoers to bring their own towels, as no permanent seating or shade structures are present.Facilities and activities
The beach lacks permanent facilities like showers, restrooms, or umbrellas. However, nearby infrastructure includes a playground across the street and parking options within walking distance. Activities are limited to the explicitly listed 'surfing' and 'water entertainment,' with no details on equipment availability. The absence of structured amenities means visitors should plan accordingly for basic needs.Access and location
Bacvice Beach is directly accessible from prilaz braće Kaliterna 12, with a short walk to Split's Old Town. Parking is available nearby but becomes crowded during peak season, as noted by visitors. The beach's location within Split makes it a convenient stop for those exploring the city's cultural attractions, with the Adriatic Sea providing a scenic backdrop to historic landmarks. What visitors say

Reviews
Nice beach. The big rock is fun to jump off, and you can even come back at night time with a beer and enjoy the calm atmosphere. You might even encounter some cool people.
Our favourite sand beach in Split. Quite crowded but great for families with children (shallow waters). Perfectly refreshing and easy walk to or from the oldtown. Parking available nearby, but can be crowded in the summer / high season. Also, across the street there's another playground for the kids. connor swatton
