Alina Beach - Sevid, Croatia
Alina Beach, located in Sevid near Split on Croatia's Dalmatian coast, is a secluded cove characterized by its beige pebble shoreline and moderate depth increase. Nestled along the Adriatic Sea, this beach offers a tranquil escape with clear waters and natural rock formations that define its unique character. While lacking formal amenities, its accessibility from nearby roads and trails makes it a popular spot for visitors seeking a peaceful coastal experience.
Beach character
The beach spans approximately 40 meters in length and 10 meters in width, forming a narrow cove protected by natural rock formations. The seabed consists of pebbles, with water depth increasing gradually from the shore. This geological composition creates a stable environment for swimmers while offering opportunities for snorkeling among the rocky outcrops. The beige pebble cover contrasts with the vibrant turquoise of the Adriatic, creating a visually striking landscape.
Swimming and shore
Swimming conditions at Alina Beach are generally favorable, with calm waters during most seasons. The moderate depth increase allows for safe entry, though swimmers should be mindful of the pebble-covered seabed. The shore itself is composed of beige pebbles, which can be uneven underfoot. Reviewers have noted that while the beach is suitable for small children, sturdy footwear is recommended for navigating the rocky access paths.
Facilities and activities
Alina Beach does not feature formal amenities such as showers, restrooms, or parking facilities. However, its natural setting supports recreational activities like kayaking and snorkeling. The clear waters and rocky terrain make it an ideal location for exploring marine life, while the cove's sheltered position provides a safe environment for water-based pursuits. Nearby settlements offer infrastructure for visitors needing additional services.
Access and location
Access to Alina Beach is primarily via footpaths from Sevid Beach or a road leading to OΕ‘trica. Reviewers have described the journey as involving a short walk over rocks from Sevid Beach, with another route accessible from the OΕ‘trica road. The beach's location on the Dalmatian coast places it within reach of Split's cultural attractions and the broader Adriatic sailing routes. Its proximity to the Split-Dalmatia region makes it a convenient stop for travelers exploring the Croatian coast.
What visitors say
Visitors consistently praise Alina Beach for its cleanliness and serene atmosphere. Multiple reviews highlight the beach's "total peace" and "crystal clear water," with one noting it as an "ideal place for vacation" due to its tranquility. While some mention the rocky terrain as a minor challenge, the overall consensus emphasizes its appeal for those seeking a quiet, natural coastal experience. A reviewer from 2021 described it as "literally enjoyment," while another from 2023 noted its suitability for small children despite the pebbles.
Practical tips
Visitors should consider the following: Sturdy footwear is recommended for navigating the rocky access paths. Sun protection is advisable, as the beach lacks shaded areas. The beach's pebble composition may make it less comfortable for prolonged sunbathing compared to sandy shores. Arriving early in the day can help avoid the small but steady crowd during peak season.
Exploring the coast by yacht
Alina Beach lies within the Split-Dalmatia sailing region, a popular area for yacht charters along the Adriatic coast. The surrounding waters offer opportunities for exploration, with nearby anchorages and marinas accessible via Euro-Agent's beaches map. Yacht charter guests may find this location appealing for its combination of natural beauty and proximity to cultural landmarks in Split. The beach's sheltered cove makes it a potential stop for sailors seeking a quiet anchorage near the mainland.
Seasonal Considerations
The beach's crowd index is moderate during high season, making it less crowded than some of Croatia's more famous resorts. However, its popularity with local visitors means it can still see steady usage. The clean water and natural setting make it particularly appealing during summer months, though the pebble beach may be less comfortable in hot weather compared to sandy alternatives.

Reviews
The beach is accessible from afar. Suitable for small children. The romantic part lies northeast.
A beautiful place, but terrible for cars, the sea is clean and beautiful, an ideal place for vacation....peaceful and quiet, literally enjoyment....
A beautiful beach, a small part of it is sandy, but most of it is rocky. At the time we visited, there were only a few people on it. You can reach it on foot in a few minutes from the Sevid beach (a path over the rocks, but there is also an access from the road to OΕ‘trica, but not directly to the beach).
Clean beach, cristal clear water and total peace..only nature sounds..maximal relaxation.
