Acapulco Beach, Supetar, Croatia
Beach character
Acapulco Beach is defined by its multi-cove structure, with shallow, gently sloping areas ideal for children to play in the shallows. The sea floor consists of small pebbles, creating a textured surface that contrasts with the smooth, beige pebble beach. Depth increases moderately as one moves seaward, making it suitable for both casual swimmers and those seeking a bit more open water. The beach's natural shape creates sheltered pockets that offer respite from wind, though the overall exposure to the open sea means conditions can vary with the tide and weather.Swimming and shore
The beach's shallow, pebbled shore makes it a safe option for swimming, particularly for families with young children. The moderate depth increase allows for easy wading, though the pebble surface may require caution for those unaccustomed to such conditions. The clear waters, frequently noted in visitor reviews, enhance visibility for snorkeling and general water activities. The beach's orientation toward the open sea means swimmers should be mindful of potential wave activity during stronger winds.Facilities and activities
While the beach lacks formal amenities like lifeguards or permanent structures, it supports beach volleyball through a designated court near the shoreline. Visitor reviews highlight the presence of a bar (Acapulco Beach Bar) that offers shade, drinks, and light meals. This bar is a focal point for visitors seeking refreshments, though it is noted to lack toilets. The beach also has showers available for a 50-cent fee, a detail frequently mentioned by visitors in their reports.Access and location
Acapulco Beach is situated directly adjacent to the Supetar ferry port, making it easily accessible for those arriving by boat or road. Its location on the western side of Brac Island places it within reach of other coastal attractions in the region, including the nearby town of Supetar and the iconic Zlatni Rat beach. The beach's proximity to the ferry port also makes it a logical stop for yacht charter guests exploring the Brac coastline. What visitors say
Visitors consistently praise Acapulco Beach for its cleanliness and scenic views, with multiple reviews noting the beach's 'exceptional' condition during visits. One reviewer described it as 'a little piece of quiet paradise,' while others highlighted its utility as a waiting area for ferry departures. The beach's affordability for basic amenities, such as the 50-cent showers and reasonably priced drinks at the on-site bar, is frequently mentioned. However, the absence of public toilets and the high cost of rented umbrellas (noted as 'way too expensive') are recurring points of commentary.Practical tips
Bring your own shade or plan to use the beach bar's shaded areas for seating, as rental umbrellas are costly. Be prepared to pay 50 cents for shower access, and note that the beach bar does not have toilets. Arriving early can help avoid the busiest times, though the beach remains less crowded than other parts of Supetar.Exploring the coast by yacht
For yacht charter guests exploring the Brac coastline, Acapulco Beach serves as a convenient anchorage point near the Supetar ferry port. Its proximity to the port makes it ideal for short stops, fueling, or provisioning before continuing along the Dalmatian coast. The surrounding waters are part of the broader sailing area that includes the islands of Hvar, Vis, and the Peljesac Peninsula, offering opportunities for day trips or longer cruises. Nearby marinas in Supetar and Bol provide docking options for yachts seeking more permanent bases.Local Culture and Surrounding Attractions
Supetar, the nearby town, offers a mix of traditional Dalmatian architecture and modern amenities. The island of Brac itself is known for its white stone quarries, vineyards, and the famous Zlatni Rat beach. Visitors to Acapulco Beach may wish to explore these attractions, though the beach's location makes it a more relaxed alternative to the busier parts of the island.

Reviews
Wonderfully clean beach. Clear water. A little piece of quiet paradise in April. Kids loved it.
A public beach right next to the ferry in Supetar island. Incase you are in hurry for the ferry or do not have much time to explore the island, this is the perfect spot to relax by the pebble beachside. Less frequented by tourists as well
Beach with amazing views right next to the car ferry port. Perfect for sunbathing and little kids to play in the shallow water while waiting for the ferry.
The beach is beautiful and not crowded. Totally worth it. The umbrellas and beach chairs way too expensive, bring your own one or order a drink at the bar on the beach, you can have some shade there too and it’s way cheaper. There are showers but they cost 50 euro cents. The bar has no toilet.
Cristal clear sea, shady places, beautiful beach almost next to the ferry. Not crowded in September. Toitoi WC on the beach however you can find clean toilet behind the ferry ticket building, few meters away from the beach. There is a nice bar in the beach (Acapulco Beach Bar) where you can enjoy your beer and coffee (which was the best so far in the island). Very relaxing environment. :) Split-Dalmatia
